The shared bathrooms have been remodeled too and will be the fanciest shared bathroom facilities you've probably ever used. The Old House Rooms are more rustic, but they have all been remodeled. Rooms on the sides of the East and West wings where the word "Elevator" is printed on the map face the back parking areas and have no views. Some of the rooms on the west side will have views of the geyser basin looking out towards the north. The East Wing faces the geyser basins where Old Faithful is and the West Wing is on the backside. The map is a little wonky in it's orientation on the page. Scroll own to the 2nd page for the map of the Inn. The following link is a very simple map of the Old Faithful Inn that shows where the wings are. <<<Įach floor on the east and west wings open up into the Old House balcony area so it's easy to walk back and forth between the two areas. >If we stay-in the Old Faithful Inn would we make our way back to Bozeman around the “loop” back towards Mammoth or go towards the lake then towards Mammoth? I never try and underestimate drive times and distances.>If the standard rooms on west side are close to the main lodge to sit and enjoy than that probably will be the way we go. Thanks again and welcome all help, guidance and suggestions. Will ponder on the two types of rooms a little more □ We are a couple who likes to be put and about taking in all what our destination has to offer outside of our room. If the standard rooms on west side are close to the main lodge to sit and enjoy than that probably will be the way we go. We have done a lot of camping so don’t mind a communal bathroom but having our own makes it easy. I’m thinking I would prefer a bathroom/shower. If we stay-in the Old Faithful Inn would we make our way back to Bozeman around the “loop” back towards Mammoth or go towards the lake then towards Mammoth? I never try and underestimate drive times and distances. But with your suggestion we will checkout on Saturday and make our way back to Bozeman slowly. I haven’t booked flights as the airlines haven’t opened dates in May 2023 yet. Your itinerary is exactly what I was thinking. Some people do not like the idea of shared bathrooms so if that is a deal breaker for you trying to get an Old House room with ensuite bath or a standard room in the west or east wing might be better. The shared bathrooms are usually a short distance down the hall and are very nice with private stalls for toilets and showers. The non-bathroom rooms in Old Faithful Inn are in the Old House. ![]() If the above is what you're considering, it's fine. If your flight out Bozeman is in the morning, it would be advisable to stay in Bozeman the night before, especially in mid-May when there could be some temporary road closures due to spring snow storms.
